A dip in classical painting realized in a cycle of works in dialogue between ancient, baroque and contemporary, reality and myth, clarity and allusion. The symbolic sea of love crosses the paintings like the countless myths of lovers and heroes who sail the seas of passion are pushed by the wave of desire and knowledge. We wonder about the senses, the motives and the signification of the images themselves, descending into the wavy sea in which we are forced to row, asking ourselves: “Where does this current come from and where does it lead?”. It matters little if, more than with love in flesh and blood, we are dealing with a ghost-form of the object of desire. The certainty is that the love experience is actually a concrete thing, that love savors the sweetness of a “I don’t know what is loved, more than thought - of tasted, more than understood “.
