Oil sketch on foam board. This was a portrait I did of my Dad as the subject. He is seen captured side-eyeing while his glasses are seen placed on his head. My Dad tends to be a person who dislikes having pictures taken of him, so I intended to reflect this in this portrait. The portrait captures deep lines on the face, an enlarged nose and blotches of white hair. It is not beautified, but rather an honest portrayal.
