The painting reminds of the traditional Vanitas motif, but presented in a new-pop style. The skull is painted in iridescent glitter, while the japanese writings (“game over”) are made of enamel and gunpowder, thus suggesting an idea of danger and uneasiness which reflects our contemporary society. The writings resembles those of advertising or videogames. The floral background is painted with acrylic paint.
