A self-portrait done in oil on panel. The layers were fluid and allowed me to show both density and transparency. Features appear as impressions through the quickened brush-strokes. I emphasise some of my own features such as the hair, which adds the principal character to the work. The purplish tint was unintentional but gives the work a quality of lacking the literal. The face gives off a playful, charming disposition.
