‘lemon lamp no.2’ (2023) It is the second lamp ever produced for the Lemon Lamp collection, which currently consists of 7 pieces. The beauty of this sculpture-like lamp is that it changes with time; dried lemons change; they shrink a bit, giving the lamp a new shape. Its perfectly warm colour gives the room an amazingly cosy atmosphere, projecting small lemon shades on the walls. The slight, pleasant, woody smell surrounds the whole piece, bringing extra attention. The lampshade is made from an estimated 248 dried lemon slices, all preserved in my studio in London. The lamp base is made out of glass and metal, with the UK plug. The total height of this art piece is 60 cm.
