The use of objects connected to the world of construction sites and the concept of materials and substances undergoing metamorphosis are also themes present in "Build Yourself" (2022) by Elisa Capucci. It is an industrial scaffolding module infested with inclusions of heterogeneous materials, ranging from concrete, iron, and acrylic enamel to stabilized moss. The sculpture-installation is positioned right at the entrance of the exhibition hall, obstructing the view for the visitor. Approaching it, one almost has the perception of being in front of a maintenance scaffolding, as if the exhibition setup were still in progress. The metal skeleton is an ecosystem of reshaped waste into organic-like bodies, entities settling into crevices like mollusks on rocks. A moray eel composed of a metal grid climbs on the scaffold, while other post-biological beings ascend the adjacent wall or venture among the other exhibited works.
