The artwork is a part of the Memento Vivere project, which was exhibited in 2023 at the ICR in Vienna. In this project, Claudiu Ciobanu explores themes such as the blurring of boundaries between the physical and digital realms, the influence of technology on our cognitive abilities, and the ethical implications of technological advancements in our daily lives. Through a central character, a child, the artist envisions a utopian journey into a potential future for humanity. The child symbolizes the future and carries on the legacy of humanity. Through his paintings, Ciobanu creates a space for discussions that are no longer purely speculative, as we can now tangibly experience the ways in which technology increasingly captures and transforms our daily activities, not only through digital tools but more recently through artificial intelligence.
