Okurimono means gift in Japanese. It is the portrait of a young girl who, behind a golden glass, is waiting for someone to whom she will give roses. The wall in the background is decorated with graffiti and made with modelable acrylic paste and, with its urban touch, represents the modernity of the Land of the Rising Sun, which coexists with ancient traditions, represented, in this painting as in the whole series, by gold leaf. Edges are painted and it is ready to hang. This painting, along with the other ones of this series, was displayed at Consulate of Japan in Milan early this year.
