The photographs present a toy astronaut who seems to be exploring details of an empty and unknown universe. In every shot of the series the Chinese character "wonder" appears, as if it were a screen through which one observes; but the places are actually simply surfaces or fragments of everyday objects and landscapes estranged from their context, magnified and organized according to the strategies of staged photography. The projects shots are taken with an iPhone, like disposable images to be posted on social media, as if to underline - with their apparent banality - the need to go back to looking at the world (re)discovering it with a sense of wonder. The format is like a magnified Polaroid.
