This hanging panel has been hand-woven in two layers using two materials with extremely contrasting qualities, paper yarn and Alpaca wool. The two layers have been woven simultaneously but separate, while being connected to the same core in two sections, which allow the materials to react spontaneously to gravity, preserving their own quality. The rigidity of the white woven paper holds the shape, while the softness of the Alpaca fiber allows the cloth to gently drape off the main structure, revealing two very different sides of the same piece.
