'Epicenter 11.11' is a kinetic sculpture that changes its shape over time according to the seismic activity of our planet. 'Epicenter 11.11' is a kinetic sculpture that brings awarness of being collective. The installation was made during the lockdown where isolated and closed in our houses we couldn’t notice anymore what is always present: the ground. Thanks to the earth we are here and we are alive. Alive as the planet that constantly moves under our feet. The materials chosen are recycled from constructions sites for a no-waste reason but also as a critic to the extractions of minerals and fuels from the grounds. The most interesting part is the recognizability of the materials as constructions sites elements, but the gap of the weird shape is filled when the viewer reads on a screen the new information of the recent earthquake happening in that moment. In this epiphany the movement became connected to the information and to the awareness of the ground.
