Duality is a large scale screen print that reflects on the relationship between micro and macro. The image was printed as four separate panels, beginning with a microscopic image of inside an ear. This was mirrored in a clockwise direction to form an entirely new image that is explosive, energetic and universal. The image suggests something that could be found in space such as an energetic split or force. It makes the artist think of creation, the big bang, dark matter. It hints at some of the greater questions in life and how we exist. The scale of the print is there to support the idea of the expansive. In this work Anna uses the internal body, the micro universe within us as a way to relate to the universe, highlighting the interconnectivity in life.
