'Restricted Flesh' consists of two four colour separation screen prints of microscopic imagery of skin and inside the body that were printed in reverse on perspex. The piece reflects on the bodys' transformation as in enters the digital realm, losing its tangibility and becoming infinite, inorganic and depersonalised. It looks at the sense of distance that is put in place by the virtual. The body is separated from its owner initially by a lens and again by a screen. The images float as though they are infinitely lost in space. The prints are clean and clinical, contrasting with the true nature of our living bodies. They are presented in confined and oblique shapes mirroring how Anna looks at the body through a screen.
