“Everything I observe comes from a very personal connection with the subject. There’s something rewarding about revealing a personal vision to someone to foster a deeper understanding of another’s view-point in the hope that it will inspire their own insights”. I am an artist based in the U.K. My work moves in multiple directions, from portraiture to still-life to expressionism. Through my art I explores a world fuelled by stories. My family had their roots in Goa and were brought up in Kenya. I compare my experiences born in England to the histories of my parents and extended family. Their dispersion in a wide range of places from Kenya and France to Canada allows for a wider exploration of what it feels to belong.
