About Artist

Sofia Efremenko is a painter born in 1999 St. Petersburg, Russia and is currently based in Berlin, Germany on her way to graduate from Weißensee Kunsthochschule with a degree in Fine Arts. Consisting predominantly of paintings and drawings, Sofia’s oeuvre covers a broad spectrum of topics, from loudly political and public-oriented to very personal and private. She strives to build a bridge between herself and the audience to create a dialogue around the understanding of how our emotions work and how our world views are formed. Being a young artist, one could say that her works are still in the “searching” stage but have already gained some recognition by being exhibited both nationally and internationally.
